HOTEL FOR STUDENTS AND ARTISTS

The Hotel for Students and Artists, an integral part of the ICBIE EUROPA, serves two purposes:  first of all, it provides hospitality to students, artists and professors, Brazilian and foreign, that arrive from outside the Salvador area, to offer a course or project for or in collaboration with the ICBIE.  For example, volunteer foreign students who wish to help the Institute during their travels or professors and artists who offer a free course for our students.

Secondly, after giving precedence to such guests, accommodation is offered to all friends of the ICBIE, such as students and tourists who desire an alternative kind of tourism that is socially responsible, where they can be immersed into direct contact with the realities of the most needy elements of society. Our accommodations permit guests to establish direct relationships with youths or adults from the neighborhood, helping them to feel a new kind of social inclusion, or meeting with the students of the ICBIE, or even remaining simple tourists, but paying half as much as the cost of the city’s hotels while helping to support the Institute.

The Hotel is adjacent to the seat of the ICBIE, right in front of the fishermen’s port; it is a relatively quiet place and the independent apartments face a cloister with a garden full of fruit trees and exotic plants and flowers.
